Artist Promotion can be done by anyone, the Artist or the Listener.
If you are interested in promoting music on BMC there are several ways to do it:
You will need to sign up of course and join the Artists Group or the Listener Group or both.
To post on a group or its wire, you must join it, Groups are ways to contain a specific type of content as well as discussions about it. Most members will want to join Live Events and Music Video. then you can:
- Make a link to a video by posting a new topic in the Music Video Forum
- Send a request to add a song to the splash page music player BMC Radi0 – message me…
- Post a live performance link to the Live Events Forum
Remember that every thing you do shows up on Site Wide Activity (SWA) so there is no need to contact people directly on their wire for promotion.
If you do want to make direct contact with someone and keep it off SWA be sure to use “compose message” from your profile page. Messages are not posted to SWA and are not public but can still be seen in the data tables by administrators so its not private either.
It is not IM, it is more like system email.
